March 10th, 2010Environment
February 15th, 2010I have decided to change my environment ideas and instead of using a superhero model ontop of a skyscraper I have decided to re-create a shopping channel type scene with a couple of characters playing Wii and one selling my torch. I will then take it into gimp and add an overlay to the final render.
Here’s what I have so far

Photo Splash
January 26th, 2010I was looking through some photos on the internet and found that an app on the iphone called ‘photosplash’ allow the user to take a black and white photograph and select a small area that they wanted coloured. I decided to google a GIMP alternative and found a small tutorial that I found very useful… Here’s the results

Image Munipulation
January 26th, 2010

I tried my hand at a wee bit of image manipulation last night. Above is the result that I achieved in GIMP using desaturation, levels and curves in the ‘colour’ tab.
I then decided to link it to the song that I was listening to at the time
Arctic Monkeys - ‘Perhaps vampire is a bit strong but…’ I used photoshop for the next part using cloud renderings and FX to achieve the image shown below.

Walkcycle Animation
January 15th, 2010I finally got round to making a walkcycle animation with my armature model. Unfortunately the model that I made in blender didn’t work properly as his feet were warping wrongly so I downloaded the tutorial’s model and built my own armature from there. Here’s the result
I’m Addicted!
January 12th, 2010So I made another stop animation… this one slightly better showing a small fight scene with some lego men.
Youtube link is embedded below… Enjoy!
